Serving Southeastern Idaho since 1971

As the Director, I would like to welcome you to the Southeastern District Health Department’s website.  It has been designed to provide you with information about the wide variety of services that we provide to the citizens of the eight counties in southeastern Idaho. 

Our website contains a brief explanation of many of our Family and Community Health, Environmental Health, and Health Promotion programs. Under Family and Community Health services, you will find information on community health nursing, the child find program, prenatal ancillary care, reproductive health, women’s health check, and our Women’s, Infant’s and Children’s (WIC) programs. The Environmental Health Division contains programs and services such as childcare inspection, drinking water safety, food safety, and on-site sewage disposal permitting and inspection. Our Health Promotion Division deals with many programs such as asthma, diabetes, epidemiology and communicable diseases, injury prevention, oral health, and tobacco cessation and education, just to name a few.  We have also provided information on how to access our services and information pertaining to fee schedules, applications, and schedules for courses and activities that we provide throughout the eight county area.
