Health Based Coalition

High school students in Pocatello strive to reduce tobacco initiation amongst adolescents. Students engage in life skills training peer presentations while briefing elementary and middle school students about dangers of tobacco use, decision making and refusal skills, social skills and communication skills, stress management, media messages, and self-esteem issues. Students also take part in outreach activities including advocating for a smoke-free enviornment.
